Information and communication technology (ICT)-based business offerings provider Fujitsu has introduced the Si-R G100, a gigabit access router, the latest model in the company’s Si-R G series of IP access routers for building corporate network systems.
Fujitsu said the new access router is designed to be lightweight and compact with low operating noise, which makes it the ideal access router for smaller offices demanding very fast network connections.
Si-R G100 supports virtual private network (VPN) connections as fast as 440 Mbps, enabling it to accommodate high-speed Wide Area Network (WAN) services in excess of 100 Mbps and also it accommodates Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and other high-speed wireless WAN services with a data communication card for quick set up of virtual networks at temporary offices or event venues, said the company.
The compact and lightweight design (205 × 155 × 34 mm, 0.9 kg) of Si-R G100 dispensed with a fan for quiet operation, making it an unnoticeable addition, even when placed on a desk in a small office. Si-R G100 access router is an inexpensive high-speed networking, said Fujitsu.
The features of Si-R G Series, which now consists of two models — the Si-R G100 and Si-R G200, includes: option enables support of LTE and other high-speed WAN services; Safe and secure networking; Robust support for Ipv6; PC-free set-up and Environmentally friendly product design.
