Fujitsu has introduced a new range of consumption-based network connectivity and communication tools Cloud Connect Communication suite, designed to drive business agility.
The Fujitsu Cloud Connect Communication suite includes a collaboration and voice offering, which enables businesses to realise the benefits of collaboration technology and the offerings blend a range of technologies and cloud services into one cohesive offering for its customers.
Fujitsu’s new suite of tools is made up of a range of unified communications and collaboration products which are core to functioning modern, connected enterprise organisations and it offers businesses videoconferencing and WebEx collaboration tools backed by Fujitsu’s managed service, as a cloud-based offering, giving a high availability, low-cost service.
The necessary PBX devices and software will be managed by Fujitsu Cloud Connect Voice, while also managing the infrastructure. With the Cloud Connect Voice, organisations can leverage the benefits of cloud to reduce the telephony costs.
In addition, Fujitsu has also launched Cloud Connect Managed Mobile to customers in the UK to provide mobile access to business applications and data from smart phones or tablets.
Fujitsu UK&I CIO Matthew Philips said Fujitsu expect a wide range of productivity benefits to be gained in addition to a reduction in operational cost of the infrastructure.
"As the offering is provided on cloud computing "as a service" basis, we will benefit from flexibility and elasticity of the solution and associated charges," said Philips.
"In the first phase we will deploy softphone functionality, a single number reach external number and a unified mailbox; subsequent phases will include the instant messaging product which allows full telephony integration and enables click to dial functionality. We will also integrate it with Cisco webex."
