Dell has launched mini-sized Inspiron Zino HD, which includes combo blu-ray disc player, wireless remote control and comes with a choice of AMD processors or dual core Athlon Neo X2 6850e.

The mini desktop, which starts at $229, includes standard HD-capable integrated graphics, and built-in networking for home and student computing activities such as word processing, e-mail, organising photos and music, and surfing the internet, the company said.

According to Dell, the new mini desktop features up to 8GB dual channel DDR 2 memory; up to 1TB internal hard disk storage; integrated 10/100/1000 networking with wireless option; optional wireless keyboard and mouse; integrated ATI graphics adapter with standard HDMI and VGA video connections, and optional 512MB discrete graphics adapter.

In addition, the new mini desktop comes with built in 2.1 high-definition audio and 4-in-1 media card reader; four USB ports and two eSATA ports; and is energy-star 5.0 compliant. It comes with a choice of 10 colours.

The Inspiron Zino HD is available with a choice of operating systems from Windows Vista Home Basic through Windows 7 Professional.
