Krypton, which is planning to create a mobile Microsoft Office competitor, is said to be valued at $400m.
Krypton was founded by Shishir Mehrotra, a former executive of YouTube. He has raised two rounds of funding for the company.
Citing people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg reported that Khosla Ventures led Krypton’s second funding round, valuing the company at $400m.
Krypton raised approximately $25m, though the amount may be much higher. Greylock Partners and General Catalyst Partners invested in the company’s first round of financing and also participated in the second round.
There is no clarity on the development of Krypton’s product as it has not been released publicly.
People familiar with the matter said the company is building a mobile-centric suite of business productivity tools to compete with Microsoft’s Office and Google Docs.
