CloudSense, the leading cloud integrator and Salesforce Platinum Alliance Partner, has announced the appointment of Greg Dunbar as its global sales director.
Reporting to CEO Richard Britton, Dunbar’s appointment will help CloudSense continue its rapid growth, building on its existing list of blue chip clients such as O2, Vodafone and The Financial Times.
In the newly created role Dunbar will be responsible for managing sales and sales engineering teams across the organisation. Dunbar will work with clients to ensure that they reap the full benefits of their cloud investment and are successful in becoming more customer centric companies.
Prior to joining CloudSense Dunbar spent 11 years at the UK’s largest magazine publisher, IPC Media where he was the Group advertising director for IPC Inspire. IPC Media is home to some of the best known brands in the media industry including NME, Marie Claire and TV Times.
At IPC Media Dunbar was the driving force in transforming its advertising sales operation through the use of cloud solutions, including Salesforce. As a result of this experience Dunbar has developed a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing customers looking to move to the cloud.
Richard Britton, CloudSense CEO stated: "It’s great to have Greg joining the senior leadership team at CloudSense at such an important stage in our growth. He is exactly the right person to spearhead the growth of CloudSense thanks to his great sales pedigree and his deep knowledge of the media industry, which is one of our key verticals.
"CloudSense has experienced considerable growth since its foundation and to continue this it’s vital that we innovate and deliver the best possible experience to our customers as the cloud market matures. Greg’s appointment is another step in ensuring that will continue and we are glad to have him join us," Britton added.
Dunbar commented: "I’m really excited to be joining CloudSense and having the opportunity to work in the dynamic cloud market. The landscape is growing fast but I believe companies are still in the very early stages of realising the huge potential of the technology and we are ideally placed to help them on that journey.
"I know firsthand the benefits that cloud can bring to a business and I’m looking forward to working for such an ambitious company as CloudSense. With our new office in the United States opening later this year, it’s an exciting time to join," Dunbar said.
