A report from Flurry estimates that the number of Android and iOS smartphones and tablets in China will hit 246 million devices in February compared to the US with 221 million.
The market analysis report claims that the US will not be able to recapture the lead from China because of the vast difference in population. However, India is expected is to take on China in the future.
Both countries are followed by the UK with 43 million devices, South Korea with 30 million devices, Japan with 29 million, Germany with 27 million, France and Canada with 23 million devices, while Russia and India have 19 million devices.
The report added that both China and the US will continue to witness rapid device adoption.
The US added 55 million new devices year-over-year compared to January 2012, while during the same time China had 150 million new devices, the report revealed.
