Business Service Management (BSM) software provider, BMC Software and Capgemini have expanded their partnership to help European customers accelerate cloud adoption.

The partnership will enable Capgemini’s outsourced infrastructure customers in Europe to move from their existing IT service desk application to a new BMC Remedy OnDemand application.

BMC Remedy OnDemand application is standardised, subscription-based cloud service, which will help reduce key security and privacy concerns by leveraging locally hosted cloud environments.

The two companies will be able to minimise the overall cost of IT service management for more than 200 Capgemini outsourced infrastructure customers in Europe, as well as enable enhanced flexibility via Remedy OnDemand’s differentiated mobile and social capabilities.

The BSM software firm will host Remedy OnDemand at one of Capgemini’s European data centres through a joint go-to-market strategy. Together, the companies will provide shared services to Capgemini customers through a joint centre.

BMC Global Services also will team with Capgemini to deliver ITSM (IT Service Management) and BSM (Business Service Management) services.

Capgemini senior vice president and Infrastructure Services global operations head Steve Wanklin said BMC Remedy OnDemand will speed up company’s ability to roll out new IT services and resolve incidents while reducing the overall cost of service management deployments.

"We feel that the combination of BMC technology and Capgemini services will enhance our leading position in service management and integration here in Europe," Wanklin said.
