BlackBerry has launched BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) version 2.6 app for Android, iOS and BlackBerry operating systems, featuring a range of enhancements based on user feedback.

The new app now adds chat stickers to groups in addition to longer timed messages, which enable users to set a time for when sent messages get deleted once opened.

BlackBerry’s Jesse Ariss said in a statement: "Group StickersOne of your most requested features, stickers in groups, is now available."

"Tell your group what you’re really thinking with a big, bold sticker. (My favorite is Lil’ Frenchie). Speaking of stickers, don’t forget about our current promotion – All BBM sticker packs are $0.99 USD for a limited time."

A new design has also been launched for the iOS users, which now comes optimised for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices.

Ariss added: "You can’t help but notice the sleek and modern design updates like a flat UI and attractive transparencies. These adjustments make BBM look sharp across supported Apple devices."

BBM for Android now comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop support, alongside a new landscape view and the facility to share multiple images and attachments.

The updated BBM app can now be downloaded via Google Play, App Store and BlackBerry World.
