feelunique, an online beauty and health retailer, has launched a new mobile website and rebranded the desktop website, just in time for the busy Christmas period.
feelunique selected Inviqa, a specialist web development company, to improve its in-house development processes and capabilities.
Maria Murphy, UX manager at feelunique, said: "Online health and beauty is a fast-paced industry and feelunique needed to redevelop its mobile and desktop sites with a look and feel that reflects the calibre of the brand. With a very tight deadline of six weeks, the sites needed to be ready in time for the Christmas rush and to coincide with our large TV campaign."
Inviqa selected the rapid mobilisation platform, Moovweb, one of Inviqa’s technical partners, to replace feelunique’s legacy mobile specific site. The desktop website was stripped back so that only the core, essential functions that mobile customers would expect, were present. By looking at user behaviour patterns, it was concluded that the experience was to be streamlined and simplified, facilitating a quick purchase, in a reduced amount of steps. Only the most mobile focused functions were added, but the platform is flexible enough that if customer feedback demands more functionality, it can be added.
Grant Kemp at Inviqa, commented on the new site: "feelunique presented us with an ambitious challenge to create a fully functional mobile and rebranded desktop site all within six weeks and we were delighted to help the UX and IT teams meet the challenge. As a result of all our efforts and hard work, feelunique has a mobile site built on a flexible and sustainable platform, enabling them to respond to customer feedback for additional features and functionality, quickly and easily."
