ATEN International, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of connectivity offerings, has launched new 8-port and 16-port Dual Rail LCD KVM switches – CL5808 and CL5816 of its Slideaway product line.
ATEN said that the new KVM switches feature Dual Rail 19-inch LCD monitors and keyboards with built-in touchpads, and allows access to multiple computers from two PS/2 or USB KVM consoles.
The CL5808/CL5816 switches supports both PS/2 and USB keyboards, and a mice, and also features an extra console port at rear panel enabling users to manage it from an optional external console.
The company said that a single CL5808/CL5816 can control up to 8 or 16 computers; and around 31 additional compatible switches can be daisy chained together, so that up to 256 or 512 computers can all be controlled from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse console.
There is an additional USB port on the front panel to connect peripheral devices; and the CL5808/CL5816’s keyboard can be stored away when not in use and its status can be monitored continuously, to maximise server room space.
ATEN International president Kevin Chen said, the CL5808/CL516 integrates new LCD KVM technology in dual rail housing with advanced technical features to meet uncompromising requirements of enterprise implementation.
