asknet, a provider of global eCommerce offerings for software vendors, has reported sales revenues of €34.2m in the first half of 2010, compared to €33.6m for the same period last year.

The company posted a gross profit of €5.0m in H1 FY10, compared to a gross profit of €4.5m for the same period last year.

asknet reported losses of €591,000 for the first half of FY 2010, a 33% decrease compared to same period last year.

The eCommerce firm said that it is strengthening its position in the American market. This strategy has already reaped its first successes, with the announcement of the acquisition of two new international eDistribution clients as well as the expansion of ePortals, academic software portals, to Switzerland.

Michael Scheib, CEO of asknet AG, said: "The new accounts show the effectiveness of asknet’s international approach. Both of our new clients selected us over American and European competitors on the basis of our pitch. For us this is a very clear signal that asknet is competitive on a global level."
