Apple has unveiled notebook MacBook Air, which features Intel Core 2 Duo processors and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics.

The company said that the new MacBook Air notebook has solid state flash storage that is up to twice as fast as hard drive storage and 90% smaller and lighter than hard drives.

The MacBook Air is available in 11inch and 13inch models and weighs 2.3pounds, and uses the same solid state storage technology as iPad

The new notebook features include: a full-sized keyboard; Multi-Touch trackpad; and FaceTime camera; and mic and stereo speakers for video calls with iPhone 4, iPod touch and other Macs.

The MacBook Air is embodies 802.11n Wi-Fi networking; and an 11.6inch or 13.3inch LED-backlit display and Mini DisplayPort to connect 27inch Apple LED Cinema Display, projector or HD TV.

MacBook Air also includes Bluetooth 2.1+EDR for wireless peripherals and two USB ports, while the 13inch MacBook Air includes an SD card slot.

Apple said that every Mac comes with Mac OS X Snow Leopard that includes multiple features for portable computing including: Multi-Touch navigation, wireless networking, file sharing, automated data backup and intelligent power management.
