AMD has reported total revenues of $1.62bn for the third quarter of 2010, an increase of 15.7% compared to $1.4bn for the same quarter in 2009.
The company’s operating income for the third quarter was $128m as compared to a loss of $77m for the same period last year.
AMD has posted a gross margin of 46%, and the cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities balance was $1.73bn for the quarter.
For the quarter ended 30 September 2010, the company has posted net loss of $118m, or $0.17 per share, as compared to loss of $128m, or $0.18 per share of Q3 FY09.
AMD president and CEO Dirk Meyer said the third quarter performance was highlighted by solid gross margin and a continued focus on profitability, despite weaker than expected consumer demand.
The company expects the fourth quarter 2010 revenue to be remain flat.
