Nirvanix deploys Brocade networking applications for its data centre infrastructure

The networking applications offers enhanced performance for Nirvanix customers when moving, accessing data in the cloud

Enterprise cloud storage firm Nirvanix has selected Brocade Ethernet and Fibre Channel fabric-based networking applications as its core infrastructure for its data centres located across the globe.

The Brocade data networking applications, which supports public, hybrid and private cloud storage deployments, will offer Nirvanix customers with enhanced performance when they are moving and accessing data anywhere in the cloud, the company said.

Under its CloudComplete portfolio, the company offers variable cloud storage deployment options, including managed public, hybrid and private cloud storage services with usage-based pricing to meet the business needs of each customer.

The Nirvanix Cloud File System is optimised for business-critical, enterprise data and enables all files to be presented as one large global namespace, accessible from any location with immediate data consistency and replication based on policy.

In addition, enterprise cloud storage firm has also integrated Brocade ICX 6610 Ethernet switches, Brocade NetIron CER 2000 Series routers and Brocade ADX Series application delivery switches to create a data networking backbone for its cloud storage services.

Nirvanix also uses Brocade 300 Fibre Channel storage area network (SAN) switches in its data centres to facilitate high-performance, high-availability connectivity for its storage environments.

The Brocade ICX 6610 1 GbE switch provides is optinised for demanding data centre deployments and delivers wire-speed, non-blocking performance across all ports to support latency-sensitive applications and workloads.
