Yesterday, I wrote about Monkey Inferno’s office environment – an office that contained the likes of a ping pong table, bar, iPad controlled entertainment system and even a private chef.
Do you think working in an office like this would be a help or hinderance when it comes to being productive? Or are the private cubicles or quiet office corner the better option?
Monkey Inferno’s CEO, Shaan Puri, told CBR today that his creative workspace benefits his business.
"We treat our team as well as we can, because they work hard and deserve it," he said. "Happy, healthy, and motivated employees are capable of achieving much more than their stressed counterparts."
His thoughts coincide with recent findings from communications solutions provider Jabra that 75% of UK workers in office-based companies suffer from work-related anxieties. In particular, about 33% said that they felt undervalued, 20% admitted to feeling isolated, 29% were stressed and 24% said they felt exhausted.
According to Puri, teamwork is the answer to a productive environment. "Most people in the industry agree that a great team is critical to success," Puri added.
So, now we have the answer! You can read our interview with Shaan Puri when it is published in full on the CBR website tomorrow.
