Are you a Twitter addict? Hate not being able to tweet while away on holiday? Well, the @SolWaveHouse hotel may be the perfect place for you to take a break.
The world’s first Twitter hotel in Majorca, Spain, has been described as a hotel for the digital age.
@SolWaveHouse offers Twitter-themed rooms with blue and white décor and of course, extensive WiFi access.
Every Friday there is a #TwitterPoolParty where even the drinks and food are Twitter-themed with blue mojitos and hashtag-shaped blue liquorish on offer.
Guests can communicate with the hotel’s staff and other guests via hashtags on an exclusive app. Guests can check in using a hashtag. Simply tweeting #FillMyFridge will see the concierge come to fill your minibar and food and drinks are ordered at the pool bar by tweeting the @SolWaveHouse Twitter handle. You can be totally relaxed, although your thumbs may be in need of a break by the end of the holiday.
If you do get tired of surfing the web, the hotel has wave machines where guests can practice their board skills and the hotel’s pool backs onto the Magaluf beach.
The hotel’s general manager, Gonzalo Echevarria said: "The hotel takes a new step in meeting the expectations of an increasingly experiential and social customer profile, through new technologies."
