Tour Builder: an online story teller

The new Google Earth feature lets you visually document your travels.

By Cbr Rolling Blog

A new feature on Google Earth lets users tell their own travel stories using photos, text and videos. It’s called Tour Builder and was originally set up for US military veterans to tell their stories. However now it is available for anyone with a Google account, the Google Earth desktop plug-in and a story to tell.

Google commented on Tour Builder and why they created it: "We originally created Tour Builder to give veterans a way to record all the places that military service has taken them, and preserve their stories and memories as a legacy for their families. But we also thought it could be a useful tool for anyone with a story to tell, so we made it available to everyone."

Using Tour Builder, you can create a slideshow-like effect, detailing your journeys. You can even use Street Views to record the specifics.

A much cooler way of keeping an online journal of global adventures.
