YouTube ends 2011 on a high note, boasting more than one trillion playbacks on the website this year. This averages to nearly 140 views for every person on earth – showing the massive influence YouTube has had this year.
This year, many news stories were brought to attention through YouTube, allowing people to witness natural disasters, moments of protest and powerful uprisings.
