How women in tech are losing at the top

But female leadership roles in UK tech firms are higher than the US.

So we all agree that women at senior levels in the workplace are a good thing.
And we’re all delighted that big tech giants like Google are investing in thousands of women already in tech to advance their skills.

But the latest study of 1,200 tech executives in innovation hubs around the world from Silicon Valley Bank shows there’s clearly a lot more can be done to make room for women.

Most notably, it found that less than half of the companies surveyed have women in leadership roles.

But at least the UK is doing better than the US in terms of the number of women at senior technology positions. About 37% of companies had women in board level positions compared to the US with 24%. Have a look at the below infographic to find the other figures.
