Doodle your tweets with the new Android Twitter app

"A picture is worth 140 characters".

By Cbr Rolling Blog

Twitter has revealed its latest app specifically designed for Android tablets. The app is designed for the larger screen, rather than the previous Twitter app created for smartphones.

Several features of the app have been introduced with the larger screen in mind, including tweets expanding to the right of the stream when clicked, then clicking media such as videos, photos or links blows them up to full screen view. The app still has the usual Twitter features such as follow suggestions and trending topics.

There is one feature of the app that stands out from the rest. The app allows users to draw tweets, or edit photos in tweets with your own doodling.

The added splash of creativity to Twitter is refreshing and brings a more laid back, childlike approach to social networking.

Twitter released a Vine showing someone using their Samsung tablet to draw a picture of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, ready for tweeting and sharing.

A study by HubSpot found that tweets containing photos were more likely to be retweeted, which is good news for this new app which will probably become widely used amongst both companies and consumers alike.

The app is currently only available on Samsung’s Galaxy note 10.1-2014 Edition, however it will become compatible with other Android tablets later in the year, according to Twitter.
