A hands free iron?

Watch the TV while drying and ironing your clothes at the same time.

By Cbr Rolling Blog

Sick and tired of ironing your own clothes? Well you could now make it a thing of the past.

Tubie, a German firm, has created an inflatable gadget, also name Tubie, it says can dry and iron your clothes in just seven minutes.

Although it looks like a hairdryer from 1950s attached to an office chair, over 2000 Tubies are now being used in laundries, dry-cleaning-facilities, nursing homes and hotels worldwide.

Users use special clips to fix their clothes over an inflatable bag and switch on an electronic timer. The drying process, which needs no warm-up time, takes creases out of shirts, skirts, jackets and trousers.

Carina Kraus, who manufactures the Tubie in a small factory near Munich, told the Mail Online: ‘The advantages of the Tubie are clear – you can dry and iron at the same time."

"’Many of our customers do this during watching TV or other work. It is just so easy once you have done it a few times."

However, coming in at £850, it doesn’t seem so attractive. With so many other useful and smaller gadgets available, it looks quite bulky and I’m sure people can already iron there clothes in or less than seven minutes while watching the TV.
