Governance, Risk and Compliance software provider Xactium and its partner Aquarius Management Consultants have jointly introduced a new cloud-based Role Manager application.
With the new application, HR and Organisation Development (OD) professionals in the public and private sectors can improve organisational efficiency and HR governance using a central record of employee role descriptions, responsibilities, capabilities.
Role Manager stores role and job data securely in the cloud on the Force.com platform, the cloud platform for social and mobile business apps.
It provides a suite of web applications for sharing information across the workforce, and for undertaking a variety of organisational management and compliance activities.
With the new application, employees can understand the requirements of their roles and the skills they need within the organisation, while the organisation has a central "one version of the truth" view of its organisational information, the company said.
Role Manager also connects with enterprise software systems such as SAP and Cornerstone, for enhanced organisational oversight.
Xactium CEO Andy Evans said managing role and job information centrally is mandatory for organisations wanting to improve the efficiency of their management and HR governance activities. "By connecting employees with this information, organizations can engage staff with career management, learning and development and much more – ultimately leading to greater staff retention," Evans said.
