International law firm Taylor Wessing last night launched Tech Focus 100 in London, which aims to connect UK tech entrepreneurs with international funding.
The peer-to-peer community will give entrepreneurs and senior executives from 100 technology, digital and mobile companies access to a network of global contacts including venture capital and private equity funds.
The initiative will also provide bespoke support to the UK tech companies in acquiring funding.
Founding members include WorkAngel, the employee reward programme, as well as TouchSurgery, the simulator that allows surgeons to practise operations.
Mike Turner, international head of technology, media and communications at Taylor Wessing, said: "The Tech Focus 100 will provide a unique opportunity for companies in the technology sector to network with each other, to collaborate and to meet investors who can help take their business to the next level."
The UK technology sector has seen considerable interest from international investors. Recently, California-based venture capital firm Andreessen-Horowitz led a round of funding in London financial start-up TransferWise.
