Digital business solutions provider Conduent has been selected by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) to design, develop, and deploy a modernised child support system.

Dubbed THRIVE, the new system will enhance child support service delivery for children and families across Wisconsin apart from offering better features for parents.

The contract extends Conduent’s 25-year partnership with Wisconsin, offering State Disbursement Unit services to ensure that collected funds reach families in need.

According to the company, Wisconsin DCF’s transformation project will combine national best practices leveraging the latest technology and automation with data analytics to address the ongoing requirements of the child support programme. This will also ensure flexibility for future system enhancements.

Conduent aims to upgrade Wisconsin’s legacy system with a state-of-the-art solution that integrates certified, dependable programming with a modern architecture.

This new system will include self-service features for parents, such as an online customer portal and a mobile app.

Wisconsin DCF’s Bureau of Child Support Director Phyllis Fuller said: “The Wisconsin Bureau of Child Support has a successful and long-standing partnership with Conduent.

“I appreciate the opportunity to work with Conduent in developing a new case and financial management system for serving the families of Wisconsin.”

Conduent’s planned modernisation for Wisconsin DCF comes after the company developed and deployed two federally certified, statewide child support system projects, supporting Delaware and South Carolina.

Based in the US, Conduent offers digital business solutions and services spread across commercial, government and transportation spectrum. The company is said to have processed about $126bn in child support payments in the last 10 years.

Conduent child support solutions senior director Kim Bridges said: “We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve Wisconsin, supporting DCF as it facilitates the modernisation of the state’s child support program.

“We applaud DCF for taking the steps necessary to better serve constituents, and we appreciate the trust placed in Conduent to help the department achieve its vision in the years to come.”
