Cisco is adding new networking, security and storage products for its Connect and Secure line-up that caters to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The additions will help smaller businesses to connect workers and their devices more easily and securely with the content they’re looking for, whenever they need it, the company said.

Cisco said it is also introducing a new line of entry-level Ethernet switches — the 200 Series Smart Switches, besides a new network security firewall and a backup service for storage products.

Through these switches, SMBs can create a network that will enable employees who use PCs and mobile devices to access shared content, according to Cisco.

The company has also introduced a network security firewall, RV220W, for small business that need greater wireless security. The firewall reportedly offers businesses faster performance with its 1G Ethernet speed, hybrid VPN capabilities and an optional Web-security service.

Cisco said it is also adding more security options with its online Mozy backup service to its NSS300 Series Smart Storage offerings.
