X2 Computing, a provider of mobile computing offerings, has launched a new custom software development capability.
The new software enables organisation to extend the investment they have made in existing back office and legacy applications to the new generation of tablet and handheld computers.
The offerings also facilitates in improving the productivity and efficiency in an array of retail, hospitality, mobile workforce and gaming apps, the company said.
X2 CEO Francis Davis said the adopting the new generation of tablet computers will enable organisations to reduce their reliance on manual paper-based processes and leverage investment in existing back office infrastructures.
"We are focused on helping smaller companies and the relatively smaller mobile operations within larger organisations to mobilise existing software applications using COTS hardware at an affordable cost," Davis said.
