Epson has said that US Alliance Group (USAG), that provides wholesale payment processing products and solutions, has selected its CaptureOne check scanner for remote deposit capture (RDC).
Using USAG’s RDC platform and CaptureOne, the Chicago Archdiocese, that operates as dioceses serving a population of 2.4m parishioners, will be able to scan checks and submit them electronically for payment, recognizing substantial cost savings associated with Check 21 and RDC at its remote locations, such as churches and schools.
This technology rollout is part of the dioceses’ overall plan to streamline payment collection, speed receipt of payments, and lower overall banking costs while minimizing interest expense. In addition to USAG and Epson’s agreement with the Chicago Archdiocese, the two companies are teaming up to deliver on several other sizable opportunities.
Fadi Cheikha, chief executive officer of USAG, said: “This RDC solution will completely streamline the payments process for The Archdiocese. The Archdiocese processes a great deal of checks in several different locations, and the Epson check scanner was the most reliable choice. This solution delivers a strong return on investment for any organization or business needing to process checks more efficiently.”
Epson provides value-added banking and payment hardware solutions.
