The value of the deal has not been disclosed, although ComputerWire understands that the contract will be worth NZD 77m ($53m) over a seven-year term.
Blue Bell, Pennsylvania-based Unisys will continue to provide infrastructure and IT management services for the Landata and Drivers Licence Register systems, which contain vehicle and driver information. The systems are supported by two Unisys Clearpath Plus Dorado servers, which will be used on a capacity-on-demand model.
The contract was signed in the fourth quarter of 2005.
