Unisys Corp is in legal trouble with Monett, Missouri-based Jack Henry & Associates Inc, which is judgement against Unisys in connection with a software development and marketing agreement dated March 31, 1988 between the two companies: Unisys and Jack Henry have formally notified each other of matters that constitute alleged material breaches of the contract, and Henry says Unisys has failed to pay about $1.7m due on May 30; in its legal action, Henry is seeking $13.5m, the approximate amount due under the remaining term of the contract; pending the outcome of the litigation, Henry will stop accruing revenues from the agreement, which will cut software turnover by at least $1m in its fiscal fourth quarter to June 30, resulting in a net operating losses for quarter and year; it will now devote almost all its efforts to its two other banking systems, on IBM hardware.
