Torus Systems Ltd of Cambridge, UK is to show how its network implementation of OS/2 and Presentation Manager runs on a 30 station multi-domain Tapestry II network at The Which Computer? Show 1989: the Tapestry II will be set up as four separate network domains, three of which will be running on Torus Ethernet hardware, while the fourth will run on IBM’s Token-Ring to demonstrate the interconnectivity skills of Torus INL in a wide area network, linked to various IBM remote hosts; this new version of Tapestry II will be released in mid-1989 and provides support for OS/2 1.0 and Extended Edition 1.1 with Presentation Manager 1.0.
