After enjoying strong growth in Europe, Torex said it is relishing the opportunity to sell its systems in the US where it estimates the market for retail management systems to be worth $1.5bn a year.

Torex said the US retail systems market is currently experiencing strong growth with analysts predicting that 76% of US retailers will replace their EPoS systems over the next five years.

RSS recorded earnings before interest and taxation of $2.4m in 2004 on revenue of $41.7m, and Torex believes it will boost its earnings in the first year. With 100 employees, RSS claims to have over 15,000 EpoS installations in 30 countries.
