In an attempt to ease enterprises’ IT management headaches, Tivoli Systems Inc yesterday announced that it has integrated its Enterprise Management software with IBM’s Nways Manager. The integration will enable companies using IBM hardware products – routers, switches, hubs and so on – to view the status of the equipment, and manage it, through Tivoli Enterprise. The two software applications are integrated via Tivoli’s Integration Pack for Nways Manager which leverages the Common Interface Model (CIM) to link network management inventory data from IBM hardware with Tivoli’s Enterprise software. Tivoli said its Integration Pack is currently available for free for a limited period of time.
