One day after IBM Corp’s new OS/2 Warp received a merciless roasting at the hands of a New York Times software reviewer comes news that Litchfield, Connecticut-based The Corner Store, which pioneered selling software and hardware exclusively on-line, and devotes itself exclusively to OS/2 products, has withdrawn support for Warp: it says that until recently, it was one of IBM’s largest OS/2-only resellers but has cancelled its order for OS/2 because of the deluge of complaints about Warp’s poor quality – We have concluded that the very competitive nature of our business precludes us from selling Warp until its technical problems are fixed, said Paolo Pignatelli, founder and president of Corner Store – We have regretfully decided that we cannot afford to sell Warp.
