VoIP and IP Video performance management technology provider Telchemy has introduced DVQattest Version 2.0, an active test system for unified communications.

The test system generates Voice over IP and videoconferencing calls with SIP signalling, synthetic HTTP, POP3, SMTP, DNS and DHCP transactions and a range of IP network tests.

DVQattest Agents are the software applications that can be installed on a range of operating systems and hardware platform and can be directly integrated into network equipment and CPE, supporting complex networks with overlapping IP address spaces, VLANs and a range of SIP configurations.

The VoIP and Videoconferencing tests verify the performance of both SIP signalling and the media stream, while voice and video quality is measured using Telchemy’s VQmon technology.

The network tests include agent-to-agent tests that measure loss, jitter and available bandwidth in each direction, industry standard network tests and advanced route diagnostics, whereas the DHCP and DNS tests verify correct operation of vital network functions and HTTP/POP3/SMTP tests measure performance of key applications.
