Star, a provider of on-demand computing and communication services, has launched a new managed service "Talksure".
The service is designed to help organisations get more value from their existing investments in telephony while preparing them for the opportunity presented by the next-gen of collaboration, communication and multimedia tools, said the company.
The new offering allows businesses to make a choice to either get more from their existing hardware or completely remove the on-premise PBX.
A SIP Trunking service, the new Talksure offerings provides: IP telephony; advanced call control; Microsoft Outlook integration ; call queuing and auto attendant; no geographical restrictions on telephone numbers; and access to Star’s WorkLife Productivity Suite for Unified Communications.
Star network and convergence strategy director Hugo Harber said Talksure is a managed service so customers not only reduce the cost of internal calls and IT support but also deliver more value to their business without buying any new hardware.
"What this means to the customer is that Star can apply extensive know-how in providing excellent call quality, service and support to any UK based organisation," Harber said.
