Answering bandwidth surge peaks, Converged Communication Solutions increased its national connectivity footprint with SSE Enterprise Telecoms.

SSE Enterprise Telecoms claims that the Aberdeen-based ICT company has increased its UK-wide service bandwidth capacity by 200 times since 2007.

Converged said improvements to its network enabled a contract renewal with Xodus Group, to increase network capacity by ten times on its core routes during the next three years.

The firm uses SSE Enterprise Telecoms for its own backbone links from London to Aberdeen.

Colin Sempill, MD of SSE Enterprise Telecoms, said: "With the Government’s Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme upping demand even more, we look forward to supporting Converged as it extends its customer base even further."

Neil Christie, technical director at Converged Communication Solutions, said: "As we both share Scottish roots, we’re pleased to have grown alongside SSE Enterprise Telecoms and been able to facilitate the growth of our customers, such as Xodus Group."

"The team hasn’t yet been in a position where they can’t deliver the connectivity services we need and we’re confident that this will remain the case in the future."
