Sprint claims global total control of connected devices

Device management solution lets enterprises control their M2M devices with a self-service portal.

Sprint‘s Command Center 2.0 solution will connect, monitor and control device provisioning, billing and management across the world enabling enterprises to manage their M2M infrastructure.

The communications services company said the software would ease implementation of automated or on-the-fly device management features for one or thousands of devices.

Sprint also explained Command Center 2.0 would help businesses to control their costs by using a dynamic rate plan capabilities and flexible pooling arrangements.

In addition, users would also be able to manage the needs of their devices based on time of day, geography, usage and limits.

Dan Shey, practice director for IoT and Enterprise Research at ABI Research said: "Its [Command Center 2.0] unique combination of new technology and service provider partnerships offer any business a platform to cost effectively grow their IoT solution footprint both regionally and globally."

The communications services company confirmed the solution will be available in over 200 countries.
