Services and engineering giants partner up on IOT

News: Infosys and GE to focus on manufacturing and asset performance management.

By Joao Lima

Large amounts of data generated by connected devices in the industrial enterprise framework has led Infosys and GE to sing into a joint partnership to develop industrial IoT solutions.

The two companies said the solutions will be designed to help manufacturers and other industrial enterprises improve asset efficiency and build more intelligent linkages between design, production and field testing.

GE also said it will collaborate with consulting, technology, outsourcing and next-generation services provider Infosys in the manufacturing and asset performance management spaces.

Recently, the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) approved Infosys’ asset efficiency tested which offers condition monitoring, diagnostic analysis, and prognostics to predict the remaining useful life of assets.
