Customers are finding it relatively straightforward with their applications to create them as web services. So why aren’t they everywhere already?, Vice president of marketing Joelle Gropper Kaufman asked. They are discovering they’re non-trivial to deploy.
They don’t only need a security solution, they need a secure deployment system, she said. The company is renaming XML Firewall the Reactivity Gateway, breaking out its management console into a separate product, and calling the suite the Secure Deployment System.
New to the products are workflows to ease the creation of security policies. Improved logging speeds deployment by making troubleshooting easier, the firm said. Reactivity claims one customer went from proof-of-concept to production in 38 days.
New Gateway hardware platforms are also now available, using nCipher’s SSL accelerator cards and Tarari Inc’s RAX Content Processor, which speeds XML processing by handling it in the hardware.
