Polish hardware and software distributor MSP has reported strong profit and revenue growth for the first quarter of 1994. According to a company statement, its first quarter 1994 revenues came to the equivalent of $3m, a 202% increase over the first quarter of 1993. The company said profits increased by 143% over the corresponding period, but did not release a figure. The company is now projecting that 1994 sales will reach $15m, before factoring in the impact of the Polish software copyright law, which outlaws software piracy and is set to take effect on May 4. MSP currently acts as a distributor for Microsoft Corp, Compaq Computer Corp, Wordperfect Corp, Borland International Inc, Symantec Corp, Corel Inc, Aldus Corp, 3M Co, Xircom Inc, Logitech Inc and Colorado Memory Systems Inc. Until last year, MSP was exclusively involved in software distribution, but it is now seeking additional suppliers of networking hardware products.
