A group of personal computer hardware manufacturers have endorsed Fremont, California-based Media Vision Inc’s Pro AudioSpectrum open architecture sound technology: included in this announcement are Ing C Olivetti & Co SpA, NCR Corp, Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme AG, Acer Corp, Advanced Logic Research Inc, Leading Edge Products Inc and Dolch Computer Systems Inc; each has indicated that it is building products using Media Vision’s sound technology, either by using Media Vision’s Pro AudioSpectrum add-in sound boards or one of Media Vision’s audio chip sets; the Pro AudioSpectrum technology is a 16-bit audio technology which enables personal computers to play music, record and play back voices; and include sound effects with the same clarity as a compact-disk player.
