Sunnyvale, California based Oak Technology Inc, provider of semiconductor and software technology for DVD, has introduced the Interactive DVD Browser Developer, a system to provide software developers the ability to create and test DirectShow 2.0 applications on a commercially available hardware platform. The system is designed to let software developers create and test titles that are compliant to DirectShow 2.0 prior to the release of Windows 98. The product provides a suite of DirectShow testing and development software that requires Creative Labs’ PC-DVD Encore hardware to complete the development platform. The product builds on Oak’s Interactive DVD Browser, a DVD software environment for the PC.
