NMW Computers Plc, Nantwich, Cheshire software and services house serving the financial community, has paid UKP620,000 for Charterhouse Group Ltd, and the London developer of insurancebroking, legal and debt recovery systems, mainly on IBM AS/400 hardware, will now trade as NMW Charterhouse Ltd. The acquisition represents a diversification both in markets served and in hardware, since NMW uses mainly ICL Plc equipment. The next generation of Charterhouse systems the Broker/400 broking and accounting package for Lloyd’s brokers was developed in partnership with IBM and will benefit from IBM sales and marketing support when they are released next month. Charterhouse also offers Tri-al/400 for legal management information and financial control, which works with the IBM Office program, and Debt/400 for debt recovery management.
