California based software development company Informatica has revamped its executive team who will oversee a new cloud strategy and other changes of the company, after going private.
After going private in August last year, Anil Chakravarthy took over the role of acting CEO and he will continue to serve as the CEO of the company.
Chakravarthy joined the company as executive vice president in 2013, joinging Informatica from a leadership role at Symantec.
After joining Informatica, he defined the strategy for the next phase of the company’s growth and under his leadership the company launched Informatica v10 and Informatica Big Data Management.
Former board member Bruce Chizen has taken up the role of executive chairman and is expected to work closely with the leadership team on strategic priorities and will serve as an ambassador for the company.
The company has also added two seasoned leaders to its executive team, which includes former SAS vice president Jim Davis as chief marketing officer (CMO) and Doug Barnett as chief financial officer (CFO).
Davis was responsible for the SAS brand and oversaw a number of operational business units at SAS.
Bruce Chizen said: "Anil has distinguished himself as a visionary leader for Informatica.
"Under his leadership, Informatica has successfully transitioned to a private company and is very well-positioned for 2016 and beyond. Anil is the ideal CEO to lead Informatica during this next stage of transformation and growth, and we have great confidence that our success will accelerate under his leadership."
