Under the OEM agreement, MicroStrategy business intelligence (BI) technology will be embedded into the VeraSMART Communications Management Suite, Veramark’s modular telecom expense management software.

According to Veramark, it will develop BI components that integrate with the VeraSMART suite, providing actionable intelligence for organizations seeking to deploy enhanced expense management capabilities.

The initial product release is expected to make it easy for users to analyze telecommunications carrier invoices, dispute incorrect charges, uncover credits, and terminate underutilized services. It will increase productivity by automating the analysis, validation, allocation, and payment of expenses.

Tony Mazzullo, president and CEO of Veramark, said: By combining MicroStrategy technology, the VeraSMART platform, and Veramark’s knowledge of best practices, we will be able to deliver unique and innovative BI solutions that empower information workers and drive performance.

Earlier in September 2008, Veramark announced that its VeraSMART Communications Management Suite 8.0 has met the Cisco technology development program Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) criteria for interoperability with the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) release 6.1 and 5.1, Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series, and Cisco Unified CME 4.2.

VeraSMART gathers information off the Cisco voice system, makes it available for comprehensive analysis, reporting, and integration with other enterprise data sources, such as invoicing, and service management systems. By providing visibility into network consumption and costs, VeraSMART will help Cisco customers gain control over usage and expenses.
