According to Evangelyze, its SmartVoIP service provides integration of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 for enterprise organizations with Microsoft Response Point, an IP phone system for small businesses.

This pairing is also claimed to eliminate long-distance phone charges between branch and remote offices of enterprise organizations through a new VoIP integration solution with Microsoft Response Point. Evangelyze’s new SmartVoIP service is part of a new package release out of the Evangelyze Communications SmartUC offering that includes chat and web conference scheduling solutions for Office Communications Server 2007.

Joe Schurman, founder and CEO of Evangelyze Communications, said: “Through the power of VoIP and using our joint collaborative integration service, we are now able to connect offices globally, leveraging our services and Quintum’s breadth of scalable gateway devices.”

Earlier in the second week of November 2008, Network Equipment Technologies announced that it is showcasing its Quintum Tenor DXi card with a Converged Application Platform based on the Intel Celeron M Processor 370 operating at 1.5 GHz. The Converged Application Platform allows application developers and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) to offer a variety of applications, such as Unified Communications, and IP PBXs on a single appliance platform, and can run either Linux or Windows-based applications with an integrated VoIP capability.
