Econet is part of Econet Wireless International, a telecommunications group with operations in Africa, Europe and the east Asia Pacific Rim. Cerillion said that, under the agreement, the company’s Interconnect Manager will support Econet in achieving its revenue assurance goals by enabling it to bill interconnect partners and to reconcile invoices received.

Michael Foley, CEO of Econet Wireless Kenya, said: “Cerillion stood out to provide the interconnect services for our requirements. As a start-up operation, it is essential that we generate interconnect revenues and manage our national and international interconnect costs from day one.”

Earlier in the first week July 2008, Guinean telecoms operator, Sotelgui, declared that it was to implement Interconnect Manager from Cerillion Technologies to support billing, settlement and least cost routing for all of its interconnect agreements.  Under the contract,

Cerillion will provide Sotelgui with revenue assurance by enabling it to bill interconnect partners accurately and reconcile invoices received. The service will also allow Sotelgui to re-rate actual traffic data against individual offers from partners, enabling it to choose the most cost-effective route in each case. In addition, Cerillion provides a universal formatter for partners’ tariff tables, which will allow Sotelgui to accept tariff tables in multiple formats.

Established in 1999, Cerillion Technologies provides carrier-grade CRM & billing, interconnect, mediation and provisioning services to fixed, mobile, IP and convergent telecom operators worldwide.
