NEI, a provider of application platforms and lifecycle support services, has released S-3000 R2, a scalable 3U rack mount server designed for high-performance security applications.
The company claims that the S-3000 R2 is purpose-built for threat mitigation applications that demand high reliability and superior speed.
According to NEI, the new offering can be expanded with single or dual Intel 5500 Xeon processors and up to 96GB DDR3 memory for maximum uptime for high-density monitoring and prevention. Upto 16 total drives for 32TB of storage are also available for more network analytic applications with extensive storage requirements.
In addition, the S-3000 R2 features up to six full-height, full-length PCIe slots, as well as integrated hardware RAID, redundant AC or DC power, and hot swap class hard drives. Customers can also receive full lifecycle management with NEI’s Smart Services.
