A bitter war of words has broken out between leading international moneybroker Cantor Fitzgerald and Sytegra Systems, the systems integration arm of British Telecommunications Plc, over a 2.4m pound international trading platform. Cantor claims that the system, which links its dealing rooms in New York, London, Frankfurt, Milan and Luxembourg does not work properly. Syntegra, which provided communications links between dealing screens and hardware and software, disputes the claim and accuses Cantor of failing to pay for the system. We are taking legal action to recover bills that are overdue for payment and we utterly reject the suggestion that the system we provided does not work, said a Syntegra official.
