Memorex Telex NV has unveiled a new enterprise server, the 8650S Open Systems Host, a network-ready Client Server Terminal, and a new family of client workstations, the Celerria 80486- and Pentium-based personal computers: the 8650S features redundant power supplies, RAID technology, hot sparing of CPUs, hot-swappable disk drives, hardware management and multiprocessing capability; the Client Server uses an 80486SX processor for applications and can be used as an alternative to text terminals, giving access to both 3270 and 5250, and personal computer applications; it includes a 122-key keyboard with dual host system and personal computer markings; it comes with up to 64Mb of memory, and starts at $24,510; the Client Server Terminal is $1,325 and includes a display and keyboard; base price for the Celerria P66 is $2,500 and the Celerria DT 266 starts at $1,380, Memorex said.
